Description
As a Lead Category Manager – Strategic Sourcing at INNIO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for innovative products and engine components, managing key supplier relationships, leading negotiations and contracts, and coordinating cross-functional supplier selection and development. The role requires strong procurement experience, excellent negotiation and communication skills, fluency in German and English, and a willingness to travel internationally.

Your Responsibilities:
- Leading the development of procurement strategy for a new innovative product at INNIO
- Definition and description of a viable procurement strategy for base engine parts
- Cross functional coordination for identification, selection, and development of critical suppliers
- Implementation & execution of structured supplier relationship management plans
- Management of supplier contracts and negotiations
Your Profile:
- Significant experience in direct material procurement, primarily within the machinery sector. A basic understanding of KANBAN is required
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management is preferred. Alternatively, a technical high school diploma form (e.g. HTL) combined with relevant work experience will also be considered
- Outstanding influencing & negotiation and facilitation skills
- Highly motivated with an outstanding track record concerning ability to deliver
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Team player mentality with a continuous improvement mindset
- Fluent German and English (oral and written)
- Experienced with the use of all Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time to our global supply base
